Description: CONTENTS: 📦 hello hello *creaks open a battered and bruised wooden door-* this package was on your doorstep. It has a copious amount of scattered bits and pieces, some dust from the last legs of doing another degree; rubble from juggling work at the same time; there are some lovely things in here too, mostly lovely things. There are small jars of care and warmth from sharing meals with a dearest friend. Some old favourites are in here: familiar old friends, sparks of joy from being in the same space filled with plants. And would you look at this! There is also a birthday celebration from June. There is also a new thing, it all happened so quickly. There are some glimpses of a new space emerging too... If you could just sign here and collect this package, thank you! - LETTER: 💌 It's August! How are you? Have you been taking care of yourself? I feel as if I had never left, because I always return somehow. So much has changed, and yet so little has changed too. I'm still growing in my path as a teacher, but I also know that life is filled with many potholes and I still document my pockets of joy or care or frustration. In 2020-2021, I finished another degree in a year and it all happened so fast. Essays were written, tears shed. But this time I didn't quite feel up for filming this stress (it was a stress that couldn't be measured) so instead, these are (mostly) in-betweens, which I hope my friends who are in this will smile at. I'm not going to lie, it's been difficult for me. My memories are scattered and maybe you'll sense a bit of that watching this. We really just need proper rest, dear time with a friend and revisiting comforting places. This video came together and honestly at first, I disliked the beginning of it and how fragmented those glimpses seemed, but I realised things like this did pass by in a blur. Perhaps I had been editing the way that it felt without even knowing. The video warms up and slows as it goes, as I spend time with others, which I thought was fitting :) Thank you for the kind words of encouragement in other comment sections, I see them and they remind me that we're all trying our best. As always, tell me some memory lanes from this year so far--small or big, they're nice to hear all the same and reminds me that this corner has warmth too.
